About

The core team from MInDS lab are professors from the Graduate Program in Electrical and Computer Engineering (CPGEI) at the Federal University of Technology of Parana (UTFPR) in Curitiba, Brazil. MInDS also has external partners in other institutions in Brazil and abroad.

We are dedicated to advancing and applying artificial intelligence and data science to help businesses and society with complex problems. The lab's primary focus is exploring topics connected to the application of machine learning, data science, and statistical methods in processing and analyzing complex data types such as text, images, time series, graphs, and tables.

Our tradition of excellence and accomplishments traces back to the establishment of the Laboratory of Natural and Parallel Computing in 2005. In September 2023, professors from that lab founded MInDS. Today, MInDS leads research initiatives, strategic R&D collaborations, and training programs in partnership with various organizations.
